Per Ommundson was born on September 3rd, 1913 in Nordre Talgje i Sjernarøy, Rogaland.1 Per Ommundson's father was Ommund Larsson Talgje and his mother was Boyine Beate Birgitte Børresdtr. Husebø. His paternal grandparents were Lars Ommundson Talgje and Anna Bergesdatter Sæbø. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Lars Ommundson, Børre Ommundson, Leif Ommundson, Einar Ommundson, Atrid Ommundsdatter, Randi Ommundsdatter and Åsta Beate Ommundsdatter.
