Berta Sofie Osmundsdatter was born on January 2nd, 1895.1 Berta Sofie Osmundsdatter's father was Osmund Osmundson Lund and her mother was Elen Jakobsdatter Talgje. Her paternal grandparents were Osmund Osmundson Lund and Brita Andersdatter Lund. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Osmund Osmundson, Jakob Kristian Osmundson, Knut Osmundson, Jakob Kristian Osmundson, Oskar Emil Osmundson, Lars Osmundson, Tollak Osmundson, Anne Kristine Osmundsdatter and Signy Elisa Osmundsdatter. She was the third oldest of the ten children.
Berta Sofie Osmundsdatter and Sven Jonasson were married in a religious ceremony in 1920.2 They had five sons and five daughters, named Johan, Osmund, Egil Kristian, Marton, Jakob Osmund, Ellen Kristine, Inger, Anna Kristine, Svenny Bergliot and Else.
