Esther was born on April 23rd, 1916.1 Esther's father was Olaf L. Hamfjord and her mother was Esther Pedersen. Her paternal grandparents were Olaf (Ole) Hansen and Olivia Larsdatter. She had four brothers and a sister, named Kåre, Olaf, Einar, Ragnar and Elsa. She is the third oldest of the six children.-
